Long time ago, the story says that two women from Mallorca arrived to
this place with the purpose to establish their home. Therefore this
is the root of "MALLORQUINES" Toponym. Mallorquines is one
of the most ancient hostels in our Region.
Mallorquines has a rustic structure and it is built above an old
farmer house or country house. We can find in it as well as
accommodation, storehouses, pigsty stable, winecellar; and several
other outbuildings. Through time, we have made many alterations. We
have improved some of our equipments and we have created new ones. At
the present, We can offer up-to-date and new services, which will
make much more comfortable your stay. All of these alterations have
respected the typical building's character.
Mallorquines Hostel is located in the old "Camí Ral".
This road goes from Barcelone to Paris. In the past, Mallorquines
Hostel was a passage place, it was an essential pause for country
people who went on foot, carriage or trap.
The Mallorquines Hostel life goes back to far and distant days, 1714
History says. At the beginning it was a modest inn, which was placed
close by the road.
